General
Uplift offers employees all the training required for employment free of charge and in pay status. In addition to the certifications listed below training includes documentation system training, general and person-specific diabetes instruction, fatal five, fall, seizure, and choking protocols, and many more.
In addition to our DSP track, Uplift offers specialized training to employees providing any Uplift services.
Certifications
Maine College of Direct Support (DSP) Certification
Uplift offers the Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification as approved by the Department of Health and Human Services. Once all modules are completed the student receives certification that is recognized Statewide and is also portable outside the state of Maine. Uplift also assigns and tracks continuing education requirements to maintain the DSP Certificate. This training is only offered to current Uplift employees and is not available to the public.
CPR/First Aide
Uplift offers CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and FA (First Aid) certificates. This training is free for all employees. By successfully completing the coursework and testing involved in these comprehensive courses students will receive a two-year certification.
Certified Residential Medication Administration (CRMA)
Uplift offers the 24-hour CRMA course and recertification course for either the 24 or 40-hour CRMA course to all employees free of charge, including the clinical required portion of the course. This provides standardized training for the State of Maine-certified residential care facilities (Levels III & IV). Upon completion of this course and the supervised medication administration clinical, the participant will be able to provide error-free medication administration in the residential setting.
Uplift offers initial CRMA and CRMA Recertification training to the public for a fee.
